The back of the island should be raised paneled for a complete trim. Note the electrical trim on all stained wood surfaces would be brown to match. On tile backsplash the electrical trim should match the tile as close as possible. Many contractors continue installing white trim no matter the surface which is not acceptable on a quality finish.

A view of the tongue & groove pressure treated flooring. Many people don't even know that this flooring exists. Generally contractors use 6" wide treated board with a screen under. The tongue & groove has a more finished interior look & eliminates the need to screen under the deck. The use of a high grade semitransparent oil based is the finishing touch for this floor.
